The cloisters at Sciences Po Rennes
Sciences Po Rennes is housed in elegant buildings that date back to the late nineteenth century.
Until 1980, these buildings were home to a Normal School. They are arranged around secular cloisters known as the ‘grand cloisters’. The small size of the school and its centralised facilities provide the students with a friendly, pleasant working environment, very close to the city centre.
The central location makes it easy for students to enjoy the cultural, sports, and entertainment opportunities offered by a large student city with over 69,000 students, regularly ranked as the best place to study in France.
Energy performance in Caen
The building housing the Caen campus was formerly home to the city’s School of Fine Arts. The buildings comply with the highest environmental standards, and were fully renovated before being opened in 2014 to welcome students at this satellite site dedicated to sustainable development for a world in transition.
As is the case in Rennes, the Caen satellite campus is located in the city centre, allowing students to make the most of the city’s charm and enjoy the many events organised all year round.
