Credits system

ECTS, European Credit Transfer System

Provides academic recognition of periods of study abroad and enables to qualitatively develop students in Europe.

Credits are allocated to all educational components of a study program (modules, courses, placements...) depending on the amount of work each component requires.

The credits reflect the workload of the student for each unit of instruction chosen (time attended in class, participation in seminars, independent study, prepare and submit to exams...).

ECTS is based on the convention that the workload provided by a full-time student during one academic year is 60 credits. The student gets the ECTS credits after the completion of the work to performed and if he has passed the test of knowledge.

Documents of ECTS

ECTS guide: description of the organization and content of education provided by the institution and the knowledge control mode.

The Learning Agreement contains the list of courses to attend. It is signed by the student and the two institutions concerned before the departure of the student. It needs to be updated in case of change of course after his arrival in the host institution.

The report card shows the results of the student with the list of the attended courses, the credits earned, the local notes and the corresponding ECTS grades. The report card of the outcoming student must be issued by the home institution before his departure, and the one of the incoming student by the host institution at the end of the study period.
